Registration for the 2014-2015 Traveling Basketball season is now available


Hello! Now is the time to register your daughter(s) for the upcoming 2014-2015 STMA Girls Traveling Basketball Season. To register, click on the “Registration" link on the left side. Registration closes on Friday, August 29th.

New for 2014-2015 Travel Season


Every player will now be required to bring their own game quality basketball to practice.  If a player does not have one, they can purchase one through the STMA GBB at a discounted rate.  More details to follow at a future date. 

The 4th grade “B” travel team will play in the MYAS Travel Lite Tournament Package.  The team will pick 5 of 8 tournament dates to play three games held on Saturdays.  In addition the team will play in the STMA Girls Basketball Tournament in January, MYAS State Tournament and any added tournaments agreed to by team. The details are being worked out, but the 4th grade “B will probably play fewer tournaments.


2015 AAU Tryouts Information

Crossfire will be holding tryouts for its 2015 AAU girls basketball teams in late August and early September of this year. These teams will play in the spring and part of the summer in 2015. All tryouts for girls teams will be held at Heritage Christian Academy in Maple Grove, 15655 Bass Lake Road in Maple Grove. Heritage is located at the corner of Bass Lake Road and Vicksburg. Please use the south entrance in back of the building. All players must register to attend tryouts.

Tryout Schedule

Thursday, August 21st: 7th Grade Girls - 6:30 to 9:30pm

Saturday, August 23rd: 9th Grade Girls - 9:00am to 12noon

Sunday, August 24th: 11th Grade & 8th Grade Girls

  • 11th Grade Tryout: 6:00-8:00pm
  • 8th Grade Tryout: 8:00-10:00pm

Thursday, August 28th: 10th Grade Girls - 6:30 - 9:30pm

Sunday, September 7th: 6th Grade Girls  - 7:00-9:30pm

The 5th grade girls tryout will be held in September. Information on those tryout sessions will be posted shortly.

10U-11U: September 6th: 8:30-9:45am and September 7th: 12:00-1:15pm

12U-13U: September 6th: 10:00-11:15am and September 7th 1:15-2:30pm

14U-16U: Wednesday September 3rd: 7:30-8:45pm and September 7th: 1:15-2:30pm

All open gyms and tryouts will be held at Providence Academy.

The mission of the STMA Girls Basketball Boosters is to provide the girls in our communities the opportunity to develop, learn, and enjoy the game of basketball at a competitive level. Our goal is at all levels, to provide an environment that encourages good sportsmanship, in a fun, healthy, and competitive playing environment, that allows players to grow not only as basketball players, but also as people. This will be accomplished through not only a focus on teaching skill development and the understanding of the game of basketball, but also through promoting hard work, dedication, and good sportsmanship.




The purpose of STMA GBB is to plan, promote, and facilitate the organization and the activities relative to the education and development of girls’ basketball in the St. Michael/Albertville area.
